Territory Map

If you will be requiring a new service to be built within the service boundaries as a new member of Wild Rice Electric Cooperative, or for an additional service, you are required to contact the cooperative office to make an application for new service. Information to have on hand when contacting the office will include:

• The location of the new service, i.e. township, section and quarter section;

• Type of structure the service is for;

• Type of heating system you plan to heat with;

• Credit reference from your existing or previous electric utility, (within the last 2 years).

• Prior to energizing any new service or changed service the blue copy of a wiring affidavit provided by an electrician or the homeowner is required. A State Electrical Inspector must inspect all new electrical wiring. Three State Electrical Inspectors inspect wiring in the Wild Rice Electric project area. They are: for Mahnomen & Becker Counties, Lowell Bradbury, 218-342-3345; for Polk County, Willie Nephew, 218-281-5900; and for Norman & Clay Counties, Rodney Schaffer, 701-235-2840.
